DaSilva, Linda Cecelia RN, BSN, MPH
Linda Cecelia DaSilva died on March 14, 2023 wit her family by her side. Linda was born on April 29, 1948 to Frank and Cecelia (Damore) DaSilva in New Rochelle.
A resident of Tarrytown for many years she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Elmsford.
She was a graduate of St. Gabriel Grammar School (1962) and High School (1966) both in New Rochelle.
She graduated from the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center School of Nursing in 1976.
She was an LPN and then an RN at the former Grasslands Hospital now Westchester Medical Center for her whole career working in many different areas. During that time, she graduated from Mercy College wit a BS in Nursing. When she was in the Quality Resource Management department she obtained certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). She enjoyed going to conferences in different cities or the travel and meeting new people.
She retired from the Medical Center in 2000 and then attended Paralegal school at Mercy College.
She also graduated in 2001 from New York Medical College with a Masters in Public Health.
Linda was a two-time cancer survivor first in 1999 with Ovarian Cancer and then in 2012.
She loved reading especially on her kindle, computer games, the jumble, and the Rangers. She was also a Red Hat Lady meeting and making new friends.
She leaves behind her brother Frank Jr., Sister Theresa Frasca and her husband Joseph, and her much beloved nephew Joseph Frasca, his wife Kerri, and their daughter Sophia who called Linda “Graunt Lyn,”, many cousins, and really good friends.
She was predeceased by her Father Frank in 2004, and her Mother Cecelia in 2019.
Linda requests that everyone wear something purple and not black to the funeral.
