These are facts about Cathy that are well known to all who care to read this and could be true of anyone who lived a full life as Cathy did, but they do not tell the truth of Cathy’s story, the truth of Cathy’s story is that it was a love story and it started at an ice cream shop nigh on 57 years ago when she met and started dating a co-worker named Rich. By all accounts they were instantly as thick as thieves and married as soon as they were able, (a permission slip was involved), with children soon to follow the now married couple embarked on a series of DIY projects that would have earned them a reality tv show today. That’s what I remember, and I think any who knew them would agree, side by side, shoulder to shoulder tackling anything in their way and it didn’t matter what it was as long as they were together. Some would say that with Cathy’s passing the story ends, but how can it? In the end our flesh fails us all, but the Love remains and so the story continues as we speed Cathy off into the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior.
