We are sad to announce the passing of Charles F. Wagner, aka, Charlie, Chuck or Sonny of New Rochelle. He passed away at the age of 81 on September 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his special friend Anne Marie Victor. He is survived by his sister Justine (Kokichi) Yoneda and nephew Zachary(Samantha) Yoneda. He graduated from New Rochelle High School and Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a BS and MS in electrical engineering. Early in his career he worked at Bell Labratories in Summit, NJ, IBM, but for most of his career he worked for the Department of the Army at Fort Monmouth, NJ. He was a communication expert and provided technical support for the project manager of the Patriot Missile System. Even after he retired he enjoyed keeping in touch with the many friends he made through work. Chuck was known for his love of animals and his holiday decorations, especially Christmas. He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of several clubs.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Bernard Church, 51 Prospect Street, White Plains on Saturday, November 19th at 10:00. Reception immediately following service. The burial will be private.
Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Westchester where Chuck adopted many of his furry friends.
