Anthony Michael Mallardi, age 76, of New Rochelle, NY, peacefully passed away on October 12, 2022, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. Born October 4, 1946, in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Rocco Louis and Theresa Campo Mallardi.
Anthony, also known as Tony, is loved by many for his charming smile, generous sole, outrageous humor and quick-witted personality. He was an entrepreneur at a very young age. In the mid-1960’s he opened Venus Wigs with several locations in Westchester. During the 1970’s, Tony’s found his true calling as a dog breeder and trainer when he established K-9 Patrol Dogs in Yonkers, NY. His expertise in the area of obedience and aggression training made him one of the most acknowledged experts in the field. Tony’s many other accomplishments include the owner and operator of, Regis Security, Diversified Staffing, Alternative Staffing and Mallardi Realty. In most recent years, he established K-9 Partners, LLC in Orange County, NY and enjoyed returning to his life-long passion.
Tony served on the Board of Governors of the Columbus Citizens Foundation which organizes the annual Columbus Day Parade on Fifth Avenue in New York City. He played a fundamental role in raising funds each year for the Columbus Citizens Scholarships serving as Chairman of various committees during the Columbus Celebration.
Tony is survived by his dearly loved daughters, Cindy Marie Mallardi LaSpaluto and Bettina Mallardi; beloved grandchildren, Julia Delaney LaSpaluto, Drew Anthony LaSpaluto and Thomas John LaSpaluto; loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Louis Miceli, Jr.; and Roseanne and Rinaldo Ciuffetelli; devoted nieces and nephews, Sarah Miceli Cardone, Louis J. III and Joanna Miceli; Theresa Miceli Bairaktaris; Rocco L. and Cheryl Miceli; Tammy and Dennis Boyle; Roxeanne and Jovany Colon; Rocco and Suzanne Mallardi; and James Ciuffetelli; and many cherished great nieces and nephews.
Tony is predeceased in death by his brothers, Vito Mallardi; Rocco Mallardi, Jr. and Joseph Mallardi; sister-in-law, Pamela Mallardi, wife of Rocco Jr.; and his forever faithful K-9’s Athena, Sabre, Condor, Wolf, and Onyx.
Visiting will Be Sunday 2-6pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. with a funeral Mass Monday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church
