Hunt, RoseAnn (Fosina)
RoseAnn Hunt entered eternal life on August 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at 83 years of age. Born in New Rochelle, New York, on November 20, 1938 to the late Albert J. and Antoinette (Maffucci) Fosina. She graduated from New Rochelle High School with honors in 1956. After high school, RoseAnn was hired as a secretary for the Army Information School at Fort Slocum. Later, after raising her four children, she returned to the work force employed by the City of New Rochelle Police Department, and finally as a staff assistant for the Emergency 911 Ambulance Services until her retirement in 1998. On June 2, 1989 RoseAnn and William V. (Billy) Hunt were married at Holy Family Church. They were devoted to each other for more than 34 years, until his passing on October 12, 2018.
RoseAnn is survived by her loving children, Glenn F. Griffith of Wilton Manors FL., Br. Kevin M. Griffith CFC. of Elizabeth, NJ., Karen A. (David) Woodard of Robbins, TN., and Albert J. Griffith of Wappingers Falls, NY. She is also survived by her two brothers Robert B. (Judith) Fosina and Anthony J. Fosina. As the older sibling of more than 12 years, RoseAnn and her beloved brother Anthony shared a special bond, so much so, that she considered him another son. She was an adored grandmother of three, Christopher (Jocelyn) Griffith, Jessica (Jake) Phillips, and the late Matthew Edwards, and a great grandmother of six. RoseAnn is also survived by her two step-sons, William (Rosemary) Hunt and Timothy (Christiana) Hunt as well as six step-grandchildren. Besides being a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, she was a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Church, where she was also a lector and Eucharistic minister. It was important to RoseAnn that her Catholic faith be passed down for generations to come. Whereas, she sacrificed much for her children’s education and formation. Therefore, being extremely proud of all her children’s accomplishments: most especially her son Glenn and daughter Karen, for giving her the gift of grandchildren, her son Kevin’s vocation to the religious order of The Congregation of Christian Brothers and her son Albert for continuing to bring the love of Christ; as the Director of Religious Formation. RoseAnn was a passionate Yankee fan and an avid bowler. She also relished her time at the casino, with her two dear friends Mickie Fosina and Lorraine Labella.

In Appreciation:
“I shall pass through this world but only once. Any good that I can do, any kindness that I can show, let me do it now and not defer it nor neglect it. For I shall pass through this world but only once.”

The family of RoseAnn Hunt would like to express their gratitude to her numerous doctors who administered exceptional care; most especially her primary physician, Dr. Martin B. Engelhardt Ill and her godson, Michael J. Fosina, former president of New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.
As time continued, RoseAnn was able to endure and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, specifically her faith, family and many friends due to the extraordinary attention given to her these last few years.
Therefore, we offer them a modest thank you for the compassion that they exhibited towards our mother. Their tireless dedication to their patients as well as their families went well beyond the scope of
expectation.
We were truly blessed to have Dr. Engelhardt as our mother’s primary physician.
In admiration,
The family of RoseAnn Hunt;
Glenn, Kevin, Karen, Albert, and Anthony
