Gertrude “Trudy” Dempsey was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away on May 26, 2022, after a beautiful life ,at 97 years old.

Trudy was a graduate of Georgetown University with a long career as a nurse at both New Rochelle Hospital and Ursuline Nuns Residence. She was the eternal optimist, as kind as she was loving and was dearly loved by her family, friends, and the community in New Rochelle.

Trudy is survived by her son Jack and wife Nancy of New Rochelle, daughter Kathy and husband, Mitch Tutoni of New Rochelle and daughter Terry and husband Rick Kalb of Brookfield, CT. Her grandchildren include Kate Headley and husband Darryl, Dennis Dempsey, Megan van Eyk and her husband Mark and Jaclyn Kalb. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Cooper and Jack van Eyk. And is reunited with her husband Jack Dempsey who passed in 1978.

A mass in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
