Lee Chiappetta Toterhi passed away at the age of 50 after a courageous battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her many loved ones.
Lee lived her life to the fullest every single day, and her diagnosis never defined or slowed her down. After being diagnosed, Lee made a career change to become a nurse, and spent many fulfilling years at Greenwich Hospital. She started in the inpatient Surgical/Orthopedic unit, but later moved to become an Operating Room nurse, which she truly loved and excelled at, making many friends along the way.
Lee leaves behind many broken-hearted family members and friends, including her beloved husband Jason, brother James (Ken) and her best friend Gina; brother Jerry; brothers-in-law Nicholas Zuzolo (Cristina) and Tim Toterhi (Melissa); nieces Vienna, Valentina, and Serafina; mother-in-law, Kathy Zuzolo (Nick); and many life-long friends and their children. She is predeceased by her parents, Peter and Carol Chiappetta.
Lee filled her free time with family and friends. Whether going out to dinner with Jason or different groups of friends, spending time with James and Ken, or embarking on one of her many traveling adventures with Gina, Lee always made time for those she loved. And let’s not forget her love of bingo! Lee was in it to win it!
Visiting hours will be December 17 from 3 to 8 pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10805. Funeral mass will be held on December 18 at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to SNARR Northeast animal rescue, where Lee and Jason recently rescued their precious pup, Lola.
