Katherine A. Umbro, born October 4, 1954, died suddenly on December 21, 2021. Kathi was the wife of John Umbro (deceased) and the daughter of Andrew D. Pelham Sr. and Veronica Therese Pelham.

Kathi graduated St. Gabriel’s High School in 1972. She pursued a career in finance working at NBW as a Loan Officer. After starting a family, Kathi changed from the private sector to the public sector and became employed by the City School District of New Rochelle. After 30+ years, Kathi retired as the Personnel Assistant for Civil Service responsible for the City School District of New Rochelle. She loved to travel and her laugh was contagious. Some of her fondest memories were of Lake Placid, NY camping trips in Trails End, PA and her family vacations to Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, Maryland. Kathi was known for having her morning coffee on her porch with Luna by her side.

Kathi was a lifetime resident of New Rochelle and will be best remembered for her unending love of her children and siblings. Kathi is survived by her children Kerianne (Dan) Moran, Elizabeth (Chris) Cuccolo, Cody (Kathleen) Umbro along with her siblings Stephanie Otero (Ed), James Pelham (Karyn), Andrew D. Pelham Jr (Barbara) and William Pelham.

Her greatest loves were her 11 grandchildren who meant the world to her and who will miss her very much (Andrew, Gianna, Kieran, Caitlyn, Cara, James, Ayden, Christopher, Olivia, Jaxson and Greyson) along with many nephews and a niece plus grand nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament.
Interment will follow at Greenwood union Cemetery.
