Frances C. Spallone

Frances C. Spallone

Frances Spallone, 83, beloved mother and grandmother, was called home by our Lord on December 25th. She was born in 1938 to the late Frank and Agnes (Dente) Stanziale and was a lifetime resident of New Rochelle. Frances grew up in a loving home surrounded by many older brothers and sisters. Upon graduation from high school in 1956, she worked as a secretary at the Department of the Army, Fort Slocum in New Rochelle. Frances married the love of her life, Edward Spallone, in 1957. Together, they raised three children – Eddie, Dori Ann, and Mark – and shared countless memories with family and friends. For over 20 years, Frances contributed to the PTA as well as fundraising functions at St. Gabriel’s Church. In addition to spending time with her loved ones, especially her six grandchildren, she enjoyed baking her famous recipes, ballroom dancing with her husband, and playing cards and word puzzles. Frances will be dearly missed.

Frances was predeceased by her husband Edward Spallone who died on March 29, 2015, as well as her sisters Mary, Helen, and Rosie and her brothers Sonny and Ralph. She is survived by her children, Edward (Diane), Dori Ann Wynne (Kenneth), and Mark (Darlene), and six grandchildren, Melissa Merritt (Richard) and Kenneth Wynne, Luke, Thomas, Lindsay, and Christian Spallone.

Visiting hours will be private. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: https://www.stjude.org
