Catherine Parker O’Loughlin

Catherine Parker O’Loughlin, age 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Calvary Hospital on Monday, October 25th, 2021.
Catherine “Katie” O’Loughlin was born in New Rochelle, NY, on September 19th,1926. She was the fourth child of the late Francis X. Parker “Frank” and Gertrude Russell Parker. After the death of her mother, her father married Freda Maurer who became this family’s beloved “Nana”. Freda and Frank welcomed a child of their own, Elizabeth Jane “Betty”, in 1935.
Katie attended grammar school at both Stephenson School and Blessed Sacrament; junior high school at Isaac Young; and high school at Albert Leonard.
She married John J. O’Loughlin on April 30, 1949 in Holy Name of Jesus Church in New Rochelle.
Katie was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club of Westchester and active in the Blessed Sacrament Mother’s Club.
She returned to work as a senior sales representative at Barclays Bank after 20 years of raising her family.
Katie retired in 1988 and in 1997, she and John moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT.
Katie is predeceased by her husband, John, in 2001; her brother, Robert, and his wife Barbara; her sister, Frances, and her husband Jack; her brother, George, and his wife Jeanne; and her daughter-in-law, Stacy (Jim), in 2006.
Katie is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Jane Parker of New Rochelle; her sons, John (Janet) of North Salem, NY, Brian (Lee Ann) of Aledo, TX, Jim of Mesa, CO., and Bill (Judy) of Somers, NY, and her daughter, Eileen O’Loughlin Fitzgerald, of Larchmont, NY., and many loving nieces and nephews.
Katie was blessed with 9 grandchildren, Zach and Mackenzie (John), Kevin, Caitlyn, and Patrick (Brian), Cami and Liam (Bill), and Lily Primamore and Kate Fitzgerald (Eileen).
Katie was also the beloved great grandmother of 6 great grandchildren, Thatcher and Quinn Saverine (Mackenzie and Justin), Vance and Elliot O’Loughlin (Kevin and Spenser), and Jada and Kiera O’Loughlin (Zach and Gabrielle).
Katie was the matriarch of a large and loving family and will be sorely missed by all.
Visiting hours will be Friday, October 29th from 4 – 8 PM
at Lloyd Maxcy Funeral Home

at 9:30 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church

Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetary.
