Lenore Attina, of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on September 10, 2021 at Danbury Hospital. She was 80 years young.
Lenore was born on November 14, 1940 to Edward and Mary Saggese (nee Bono) in the Bronx, New York. After graduating from Saint Catherine’s Academy in 1958, she went on to study secretarial studies at Katherine Gibbs Academy in White Plains. After graduation, she began her first job with Johns Manville in New York City, where she met some of her best friends. She then went on to join her father’s business at Saggese Brothers.
Lenore enjoyed her summers at the family house in Rocky Point. Her cousins and her shared many great memories together. She often spoke of Rocky Point, and the many pizza parties her father and mother hosted for her.
Lenore is predeceased by her husband, Philip, whom she married on June 6, 1964. He passed on January 5, 1998. Lenore and Phil raised two beautiful children, Philip and Maria.
What she enjoyed most in life was her summers at Rocky Point, later summers at Beach and Tennis Club, spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved pets.
Lenore is survived by her son Philip, and his wife Carol, and daughter Maria, her beloved grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas, Ashley and Abigail. She is also survived by her brother Edward and wife Laura, and is predeceased by her brother Joseph. She will be greatly missed. We are comforted that she is united with her loved ones in heaven. May she rest in peace with the Lord.
