Teresa Olivo

Teresa Olivo

Teresa was born in Fossato Serralta, a beautiful little town in Calabria, Italy on October 24th, 1932. She immigrated to the United States in 1960 after marrying Aldo Olivo who passed away in 1994. Although far away she never forgot all her relatives, which were scattered all over the world. Her parents and widowed sister and daughter in her home town, her sister and 4 kids in Taranto, Italy and her married sister with her 5 sons in Australia. She kept in touch with all her relatives and friends, spanning from Canada to California and abroad. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook, enjoyed reading but most of all she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her only son Anthony and granddaughter Roxanne. We are thankful that she was able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding and that she died knowing that she was going to be a great grandmother. She was fortunate to live with Anthony and Rossie, who cared for her till she passed away on August 29th, 2021. We’re also grateful that she had a best friend in her younger sister Rosa, whom she spoke to every day. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten. We are comforted that her suffering on Earth is over and that she’s in a better place once again united with her loved ones in heaven. Rest In Peace Teresa.
Visiting will be on Thursday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A Mass is scheduled for Friday at 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
