Jorge A. Vasquez, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at age 42. Born on April 16, 1979, to Katherine Martin and George Vasquez in Puerto Rico. Growing up in Yonkers, NY Jorge started out as a communication lineman which led to becoming a partner alongside his Uncle Bert to further their career in the lineman business. Besides work Jorge took on many roles in his life. One of the biggest, fathering his 3 younger brothers Chris, Rob and Matt. While guiding them through life he never thought of himself even when he struggled. He was a selfless man who not only gave them a better life but gave to everyone around him who was in need.
On December 27, 2011 Olivia Nicole Vasquez was born to Jorge and Julia Vozza. As scared as he was he took on the new role perfectly. Olivia was the light in his life. She gave him purpose & hope for the future.
Along the way Jorge fell in love with Jennifer Paulino who he later married on January 11, 2019. From father to husband Jorge was also the best son. His love for his mother Kathy saw no limits. There wasn’t anything Jorge wouldn’t do for his family. If you needed him he was there with a million and one ways to make it better. He had a way of making everyone laugh no matter the situation. “Ya Motha” was one of his many classic lines. Jorge adored making people smile especially his 9 nieces and nephews Iman, Davina, Matthew, Angelo, Zekharyah, Gabe, Lorenzo, Julianna and Joey. Spending weekends at the zoo, putting them in his bucket truck to experience the bucket, making them laugh, and just being present in their lives made him beam with pride. All around Jorge was the glue to his family. He kept everyone going, and in the end made sure to bring everyone together. He was our superman. Not sure how life moves on without him but for the rest of our lives we will continue to be present, remain with a smile and give to those in need like Jorge.
“He was an amazing person. He touched everyone that crossed his path. Helped any who was in need. A man of a lot of words but if there’s any word he gave true meaning to it was altruism. Forever in our hearts. Love you “doe doe” :Rob
“He was the sunshine of my day and the moonlight of my night. When his light shines upon my soul I can feel no wrong, and no weakness. He was larger than life while he was on this earth and he will be larger than spirit when in heaven. Love you always forever. “ :Chris
