His difficult battle with cancer showed his courage, in facing life challenges, with smile and determination. Despite the pain, Billy came out a hero, he was still designing and crafting while hospitalized for his caregivers and stayed strong until the end.
Billy was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on September 16, 1972 but, immigrated to the United States in 1996, at the age of 24, where he spent most of his life in Boston and North Adams, MA, with a short passage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Brazil, French Guyana, Mount Vernon and New Rochelle, New York.
He was predeceased by his father Paul Yves Balthazar, his wife Paula Jean, and his grandparents from both sides of his family.
He survived by his 3 children, Elyjah, Cecile and Emma, his mother Carida Marie Celia, his stepfather Jean Ricot, his siblings, Sonia, Yrock, Marie-Yves and Dunie, his aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces and many cousins and dear friends.
Billy was a FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) technician but had a passion for arts, crafts, graphic designs, and painting. He was always willing to lend his advice and wisdom, and ready to help out others but, overall, he was a great listener. As a result of his generous spirit ,his loving heart left a beacon of light for all that encountered him. Even in his hospital bed, Billy was sending postcards to everyone that helped him along this fight.
Billy will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all his family and friends.
