Angela Porcelli, age 97, long-time resident of New Rochelle, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021.
Daughter of Mary (Migliozzi) and Andrew Cerone, Angela was born February 7, 1924, in The Bronx and is predeceased by her husband Vincent, her son Paul, and siblings Marianne (Anna) Furia, Catherine (Kay) Abatangelo, Philomena (Phil) Cestone, Josephine (Babe) Sclafani, and Joseph Cerone.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan and her husband Ken, granddaughter Rachel and her husband Chris, granddaughter Laura and her husband Michael, her great granddaughters Leah and Cameron, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Angela worked for the New York State Department of Health for almost 23 years, finally retiring at the age of 79.
Although she experienced personal tragedy, she lived her life with elegance and grace. She was devoted to her family and faith beyond all else. Her legacy is one of kindness, gentleness, and sensitivity.
Visiting Hours will be Wednesday morning from 9am-10am at Sisto & Paino Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY 10805. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
