Jeanne was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York the oldest of three daughters (Maria and Carol) to Biagio (Ben) and Regina Zarrilli. In 1964 Jeanne graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School, where she met the love of her life, Charles Immucci. Married on May 31, 1970, they shared fifty years together. Jeanne’s most cherished memories was the birth of her three daughters, Christine, Victoria and Gina, and watching her family grow.
Jeanne devoted her life to being a wife, mother, sister, friend and serving children in need. Jeanne’s passion for children began with her work at Parsons Elementary School in Harrison, New York where she served as a Special Needs Teacher to children with disabilities. On the weekends, she spent her time working alongside her father and husband at the family-owned and operated business, Redwood Nursery in Larchmont. In 1992, Jeanne and Charles decided to relocate their family from New York to Jupiter, Florida. Her passion and dedication to serve children in need continued as she opened and operated the non-profit Thrift Store, Angels in the Attic, which dedicated all proceeds to The Children’s Place at Home Safe in Palm Beach County. In 1998, Jeanne was awarded the prestigious Helping Hands Award from the Children’s Society of Florida. This award recognized not only Jeanne’s selfless character, but her commitment to The Children’s Place at Connors Nursery that served abused, neglected, and abandoned children throughout Palm Beach County.
Jeanne is pre-deceased by her parents Ben and Regina Zarrilli. She is survived by her husband Charles Immucci, her sisters, Maria Garcia, and Carol Ciardullo, both of White Plains, New York, and by her three daughters, Christine (Andrew) Mercier, Victoria (Troy) Tait, and Gina (Joshua) Gaccione; as well as her eight beloved grandchildren, Samuel (Mercier), Andrew (Mercier), Victoria (Mercier), Shawna (Tait), Benjamin (Tait), Nicholas (Tait), Thaddeus (Gaccione), and one on the way (Gaccione).
