Faroaldo H. Custodio, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 85. Faroaldo died peacefully in Doylestown, PA surrounded by his beloved family.
Faroaldo was born on September 1, 1934, in Monsefu, Peru, to the late Cecilio and Clara (Algarate) Custodio. He came to the United States in 1967 looking for an opportunity to better his family’s future. He retired after working for over 30 years at Arnold’s Bakery in Greenwich, CT, as a packing machine operator.
Faroaldo loved fishing; listening to music; gardening; keeping up with soccer; and watching the news as well as movies, especially with his favorite character, Cantinflas. His daily goal was to make his family laugh, and he was happiest when surrounded by loved ones.
He was a truly incredible and honorable man who dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren. His Christmas tradition of delivering Paneton to his children, sister, nieces, nephews, and friends will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children; his grandchildren: Carlos Ceja, Marisol Custodio, and Patrick Crellin; and his great-granddaughter, Brianna O. Ceja. He is predeceased by his daughter, Betty A. Ceja, and his wife of over 30 years, Gregoria (Almeyda) Custodio.
