Lino Secchiano passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2020. Lino was born on April 2nd, 1969 to Peter and Concetta Secchiano in New Rochelle, NY. A lifelong New Rochelle resident, he graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1987 and attended the Denver Automotive and Diesel College in Denver, Colorado. Lino was one of the lucky few who loved his work, turning his hobby of fixing classic cars into a career. He worked as a mechanic for several dealerships such as Favata Buick, Saturn, and Reinbeck. After earning his commercial driving license (CDL), Lino became part owner of Secchia Inc., a specialized hauling and trucking company with his older brother, John, and was a member of the Local 282 Teamsters. When he wasn’t working, Lino could be found in his garage with his head under the hood of his ’67 Chevrolet Camaro SS, on the back of his Harley Davidson motorcycle, or complaining about the managerial decisions of the current New York Mets general manager. Lino was an avid New York sports fan, even in the worst of times. He loved watching Mets and Rangers games with his family and was often a better commentator, offering up facts and statistics for each player. Lino had a quick wit and was never far behind with a retort or a tease. He was the resident stand-up comedian and frequently left his family doubled over in laughter. Always looking for something to do with his hands, Lino picked up model building and RC racing with his nephew, Brandon. Lino is survived by his father, Peter, his mother, Concetta, his siblings, John and Lily, brother in law, John, his niece, Alyssa, and his nephew, Brandon.
