It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Vincenza F. Troiano who passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the age of 80 in White Plains, NY. She was born in the lower East Side of New York City on Thursday, November 23rd, 1939 (Thanksgiving Day). The year that President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared that Thanksgiving Day would always fall on the second to last Thursday of November. Mrs. Troiano was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and respected member of her community of New Rochelle, NY. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality she was loved by many.
She is predeceased by: her husband, Luciano A. Troiano, her mother, Marianna Mulea and her father Joseph Mulea as well as her brother, Charles Mulea. She is survived by: her 3 daughters, Victoria Troiano, Marianne (John) Dowling and Christine (James) Alfano; and her son, Anthony Troiano; as well as her eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Carmela Colandrea, her brother-in-law, Eugene Colandrea, her sister-in-law Anna Mulea and their familes. Vincenza’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10th, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (15 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10801) followed by funeral procession to Greenwood Union Cemetery, (215 North Street, Rye, NY 10580).
