Julieta Sousa Cavaco Gomes, a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, died on October 14, 2019. She was 97.
Julieta was born on May 16, 1922 in Cruz da Assumada, Loule, Portugal to the late Tiago and Maria Jose (Rico) Cavaco.
She was predeceased by her husband Ventura.
She is survived by her daughter Maria Noemia Correia; her 4 grandchildren: Bertini (Tony), Silvie (Manny), Alexandra and Alex. and her 2 great granddaughters Megan and Angelique.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday 6-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle where a funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7pm. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
