Vincenzo DiSapia

Vincenzo DiSapia, 89 years young, passed away peacefully – with his family surrounding him – on Tuesday, July 9, 2019.
Vincenzo leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 56 ½ years, Maria, his children, Julie and Sal Cucullo, Americo and Claire, Anna Lisa and Frank Negro, and his youngest daughter, Rosa Maria, his grandchildren Christina, Ernesto, Nicole, Francesco, Isabella, Danielle, Vincent, Gabrielle and Nicholas, his 6 cherished great grandchildren, his two brothers Michele and Donato , and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Filomena Landi and Umberto DiSapia.
Born and raised in Serino “Naples” Italy on March 12, 1930 to Nunziante and Giuleietta (Renzulli) DiSapia, Vincenzo was the eldest of 5 and supported his family from the young age of 13. After proudly serving in the Italian Army, Vincenzo immigrated to the United States in 1956, in search of the “American Dream” for his family.
As a true patriarch of the DiSapia family, Vincenzo worked hard his whole life to provide for his wife and children as well as for his parents and younger siblings in Italy. He served as a grounds supervisor for the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery while he simultaneously created and maintained a successful landscaping business of his own.
As an avid gardener, carpenter, sausage and wine maker, Vincenzo incorporated Italian traditions with the American Dream. His family proudly carries on the customs he has taught them.
Mass will be on Friday 10:30 Blessed Sacrament Church, Family will receive friends at Funeral home prior to Mass and Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
