Gertrude Carmen Stuppard Sylvain
A long time Resident OF New Rochelle, Gertrude Carmen Stuppard Sylvain, born Gertrude Carmen Stuppard, passed away in Valley Stream, Long Island surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:45 a.m.
Gertrude was born on June 2nd, 1924 in Cap-Hatien to the late Destiné Stuppard and the late Emerance Denis.
As a mother of twelve children, Gertrude was a dedicated housewife, a sweet and loving spouse and mother, a woman of faith, an altruistic and a humble person. She was born and raised in a deeply religious family. Her parents instilled in her the love of God, love for others, nature and animals. Gertrude Sylvain dedicated her life to being a passionate wife, mother and grand-mother. She was always there to make everyone feel comfortable. She put everyone’s needs first. She was a selfless person.
Gertrude left behind many hearts filled with wonder ful memories, countless loving relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased her husband Michel Wilner Sylvain who die in1994.
