Victor DeSandre, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on November 28, 2018. He was 88.
Victor was born on March 11, 1930 in New Rochelle to the late John and Ida (DeMario) DeSandre. He worked for many years as a carpenter in the New Rochelle School District. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his 3 children, Joanne (Thomas Lewis) of Mahopac, Maria (George Leone) of Mt. Vernon, and John DeSandre (Kerry DeSandre) of Mahopac; his 6 grandchildren, Kimberly Di Padova , Thomas Lewis ,Alison Montgomery, Rebecca Santoiemma, Lt. Michael DeSandre and Kelly DeSandre, and his nine great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janet of 67 years on July 7, 2018.
Visiting will be on Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday 10:30am at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
