Francis (Frank) Mahon died peacefully in his sleep on November 10, 2018.
He was born on February 4, 1923 in Tullamore, County Offlay, Republic of Ireland. Frank came to the United States in 1950 under the sponsorship of Martin and Anne Dufficy. He settled in New Rochelle and resided there for 68 years.
Frank was a longtime employee of the New York Telephone Company and a member of its Pioneers Club. He was an accomplished accordionist and had volumes of Irish songs committed to memory. He was fluent in Gaelic and in his younger years enjoyed dances and social whirl among his Irish friends in New York City and the Catskills. Frank travelled extensively in Europe and the Caribbean. He was a lifelong Yankee Fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be private.
