Charles “Andy” Waldie, 66 of New Rochelle, NY passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in White Plains, NY.
Andy was born in Yonkers, NY on January 23, 1952 to his beloved mother Marie Ramage and father Charles M. Waldie. He graduated from Gorton High School in Yonkers in 1970. Andy was employed by Westchester County for over 30 years, working out of the New Rochelle Water Treatment Plant. After retiring in 2010, he spent his time volunteering for the VA Hospital in Montrose, NY and was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. Andy married the former Nancy Everett on October 9, 2004 in Pelham, NY. Most of Andy’s time was spent helping struggling addicts live sober lives and ensuring they had his support throughout. He loved golfing, fishing, going to the beach and the movies, watching his favorite sports teams the NY Mets and NY Giants, and eating a good cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. But his absolute favorite things to do were going on adventures with his wife and spending time with his three adored children and grandson. He had an infectious laugh that could light up a room with happiness, and was recognizable by all who knew him.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Waldie; his three loving children, Bernard, Alicia and Kristina Waldie, with spouses Lisa and Luke; his cherished grandson Joseph Waldie; beloved sister Charlotte Forshaw and spouse William Forshaw; and beloved niece and nephew, Donna Calvi and William Forshaw, Jr.
Visiting Saturday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday 8 pm in the funeral chapel
