Teresa Rose D’Onofrio, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on March 31, 2018. She was 99.
Teresa was born on April 22, 1918 in New Rochelle, to the late Matteo and Maria (Colombo) D’Onofrio. She worked for many years at the Lowes Theater in New Rochelle.
A Native American saying sums up Teresa’s life:
“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced.
Live your life in a manner that when you die,
The world cried and you rejoiced.”
Teresa Rose lived such a life.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 1pm at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contribution to the funeral cost would be greatly appreciated.
