Rosa E. Hernandez Bastidas, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on April 18, 2018. She was 85.
Rosa was born on December 12, 1932 in Simijaca, Colombia to the late Domingo and Veronica (Campos) Hernandez. She worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide at the Woodland Nursing Home in New Rochelle

She was predeceased by her husband Rafael who died in 2012. She is survived by her daughter Janet Amigh; her 4 grandchildren: Jonathan Hernandez, Michelle Hernandez, Vanessa Amigh, and Brian Amigh; her 4 sisters Carmenza, Clara, Bertha and Beatrice and her 2 brothers Guillermo and Luis Miguel. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sons George and Luis and her granddaughter Jennifer.

Visiting will be Saturday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 6pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to pancreatic cancer research.
