Anthony J. “Chic” Chiodo, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on October 14, 2017. He was 93.
Anthony was born on March 13, 1924 in New Rochelle to the late Santo and Rose Chiodo. He was building manager for Kenmore Apartments in New Rochelle for over 60 years. He served in the Army during WWII. He was one of the founders of the New Rochelle Little league where he was a coach, manager and Board Member. He was an avid Yankee and Notre Dame fan. He was devoted to his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife the former Angelina “Fif” Guida, his childhood sweetheart, whom he married on September 5, 1948; his daughter Rose (Gary) Behney; his 3 grandchildren: Christopher Frenz, Elizabeth Frenz (Pat) Tedesco and Scott (Christina) Behney; his 7 great grandchildren and his brother August Chiodo. He is also survived by his son-in-law Michael Frenz. He was predeceased by his daughter Dr. Dorothy A. Frenz.
Visiting will be Tuesday 5-8 pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:00am at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
