Born August 27, 1933
Died, November 18, 2016, age 83, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A native of New Rochelle, NY he was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Rose Cestone, a six year old daughter Deborah
Ann and his wife Charlotte. Survived by his loving daughter Joy Cestone Metz, grandchildren Kimberly Da Costa, Robert Metz JR. and a great grandchild Molly Lee Metz all of Myrtle Beach SC; also three brothers N. Robert Cestone of Rowayton CT., Benjamin Cestone Jr. of New Rochelle NY and Michael J Cestone of Bloommingdale IL, plus many nieces nephews and cousins. He was a U S Navy veteran.
Tommy was a master Craftsman creating Benro Construction Co. specializing in the restoration of buildings with historical value.
Tommy received numerous awards, among them:
Chamber of Commerce of New Rochelle, NY 10/27/82, “Salute to Progress” awarded to Benro Construction Co. U S Department of Housing and Urban Development “Certificate of National Merit” for the Facade Improvement Program to Benro Construction Co. 10/27/82., Leonard Paduano Mayor of New Rochelle issued a Proclamation “A salute to Progress Day” for fulfilling a principal Role in the city’s Downtown Revitalization. Dated 10/27/82 .He was a member of the Foresters and Elks Club, both in New Rochelle. A funeral Service will Friday June 28th 11 am at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons, 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle NY. Inurnment will follow at Holy Sepuchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
