Harry Gorgorian, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on May 13, 2017. He was 96.
Harry was born on September 24, 1920 in NYC to the late John and Violet (Ohnegian) Gorgorian.
He was a Food and Drug Inspector for the City of NY for over 34 years. He also worked for the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department.
He graduated from Fordham University after which time he served in the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife the former Rose Penigian who died on March 12, 2003.
He is survived by his 3 sons: John Gorgorian, Robert (Susan) Gorgorian and Thomas (Linda) Gorgorian; his granddaughter Brianna Rose; his sister Myrna Saraydar and his loving companion Lucille Telesco. He was predeceased by his grandson Brad Gorgorian; his brothers Robert and John Gorgorian, and his daughter-in-law Linda.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY 10805.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at St. Gregory’s Church. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gregory’s 1131 North Street, White Plains, NY.10605
