Elsa M. Montero, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on February 6, 2017. She was 78.
Elsa was born on March 26, 1938 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Miguel Pedro Enrique and Juanna Rodriguez (Rivera) Castello.
Elsa was a Seamstress for over 25 years with Nancy Fashions in New Rochelle.
She is survived by her husband Carlos whom she married on December 16, 1958; her children Eduardo (Carrie) Marquez de la Plata, Anna (Bobby) Serrao, Beatrice (Scott) Fucci and Pola Montero; her grandchildren: Dennis, Ryan, Christina, Roberto, Justin and Jason; her great granddaughter Lily and her great-grandson Lyle; her sister Clara Regina Castello Rodriguez and her brother Felix Castello Rodriguez. The family would like to thank the staff at United Hebrew Center.

Visiting will be on Thursday 6-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
