Anne T. Ricci

Anne T. Ricci

Anne T. Ricci, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was 86 years old.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Dino V. Ricci whom she married on September 12, 1953. She was the cherished mother of six children; Leonard & Elizabeth Ricci, Joan & Edward Papa, Diane & Anthony Morano, June & Joseph LaPlace, Peter & Elizabeth Ricci and Aurelie & Daniel Ferrara. She adored her 14 grandchildren; Leonard, Dana, Daniel (Kristen), Melanie (Matt), Jade (Peter), Gillian (Brian), Marlee, Richard, Michael, Carly, Samantha, Hunter, Erica, and Amanda and 5 great-grandchildren Jack, Andi Clair, Peter Joseph, Eden and Westley.
Born on August 3, 1930 to Leonard and Frances LePore, she was the youngest of ten children. She attended Albert Leonard High School along with her husband Dino where she discovered her love of sewing and dressmaking; skills she would use her whole life. An accomplished seamstress, she made her daughter’s wedding gown and bridal party dresses. She was very active in various knitting and quilting clubs and used her skills to make baby blankets that were donated to unwed mothers and needy families throughout New Rochelle and Pelham. She also worked for the Telephone Company and then later in life for the City School District of New Rochelle. She was a devout Catholic and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor for sixty years.
Anne’s first passion was her family. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she took great pride in. A nurturing, kind, humble, and compassionate woman, Anne’s selflessness, good humor, and love reverberated in all those around her. Her legacy will be remembered forever in the hearts of her family and friends who, together, will keep her spirit alive.
Visiting will be on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery Rosewood Mausoleum, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salesian Missions, 2 LeFevres Lane, New Rochelle, NY 10801, in memory of Anne Ricci.
