Richard “Richie” “DD” M. Dunn, Jr., a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on December 5, 2016. He was 22 years young.
Richard was born on August 14, 1994 in Bronxville to Richard M. Sr. and Frances (Lisella) Dunn.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Ashley (Michael) Burke; his brother Owen Kelly; his niece Korin; his godparents Michael and Jennifer Kelly; his dog Buster; his aunts and uncles Mary Daniele, Audrey and John Iscaro, Christina Lisella, Theresa and Kevin Perez, Joe and Nicky Lisella, Jerry and Bonnie Lisella, John Lisella, Louie and Cinzia Lisella, Paul and Yvonne Lisella, and Tony and ToniMarie Lisella; his many cousins, his best friend Jorge Velasquez.
DD loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved relaxing and watching TV, keeping secrets, getting licks from Buster, playing games with Owie, kissed by Korin, dancing with Ashley, walking with Mike, sticking his tongue out at Aboo, pulling Nen closer, messing with Dad, and hugging Ma.
DD was a huge and devoted WWE/HOH fan as he was a tremendous fan of wrestling. DD loved Hulk Hogan, The Rock, John Cena, the Undertaker, Triple H and all the beautiful talented ladies but he truly loved his good friend Tommy Dreamer. He came into Richie’s life almost 10 years ago and they had a very unique and special bond right from the start. Tommy made him feel so very important taking him to events and introducing him to so many wrestlers (Brett Hart, The Dudley’s, etc.). DD would have been the WWE Champion if he had his way.
DD was also a huge sports fan who loved the NY Yankees. He was able to attend games with the family to see his favorite players, ARod and Derek Jeter, play! He was even lucky enough to attend Jeters last game. When he wasn’t watching sports or wrestling he would have his iPod blasting his favorite music.
Richie’s other favorite thing to do was spend time with Jorge, his aide and “partner in crime.” DD couldn’t wait for Jorge to arrive every day so they could go out and get dinner, hit the mall, cruise the town, stroll in the park and talk to the ladies. Jorge was very caring and supportive, always understanding DD and anticipating his needs. DD enjoyed the time away from his home with a friend who he joked with and loved.
Richie is now the brightest star in heaven spreading his infectious smile all around the skies.
