Catherine Morrissey, a former resident of New Rochelle, passed away on December 7, 2016. She was 70.
Catherine was born on June 27, 1946 in Bronx, NY to the late John and Gertrude (Lynch).
She is survived by her 2 sister-in-laws Kathleen and Noeline Morrissey; her brother-in-law Anthony Mauro; 12 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Laurence; her 2 brothers John and Joseph and her sister Bernadette Mauro.
Catherine was a free spirit who had a passion for Irish music. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed passing the time with conversation and a nice cold Bud.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s name can be made to St. Patrick’s Home for the Aged and Infirmed, 66 Van Cortlandt Park S, Bronx, NY 10463, where she spent her final months.
Visiting is scheduled for Sunday, December 11th from 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass is scheduled on Monday 11am at St. Augustine’s Church in Larchmont. Interment will be private.
