Anthony LaForte, a former resident of New Rochelle and longtime resident of Pelham Manor passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. He was born on May 21, 1933 in New Rochelle, NY. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved playing golf, cooking & baking, meeting his friends for lunch, taking walks at Glen Island and that nightly glass of scotch. A loving father, Anthony is survived by his daughter’s Theresa (Michael Franceschini), Angela (Leon Stockton), Jeanette (Anthony Barbero), Suzann (Robert Melton), Roseanne (James Kitay Sr.), and Connie (Justin McCullough), his 14 grandchildren, Steven, Kevin, Christina, Jason, Lauren, Nick, Brandon, Jillian, Sarah, Erin, Anna Marie, Ava, Emma & Allie. He is also survived by his brother Salvatore (Sammy) LaForte and predeceased by his loving wife, Anna Marie, his siblings Paul Jr. & Sarah and his parent’s Paul Sr. and Concetta LaForte.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., on Thursday, December 1st from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm at 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle. A prayer service will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 10:30 am at Lloyd Maxcy. Interment will follow at Beachwood Cemetery.
