Mary B. Eberle, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, and current resident of Boca Raton, FL. died on June 21, 2016. She was 81. Mary was born on September 25, 1934 in New Rochelle to the late Patrick and Mary Freeman.
Mary was a Reading Specialist Teacher for the New Rochelle School District for over 25 years, and then she retired to Boca Raton Florida and was a substitute kindergarten teacher well into her late seventies. While living in NY, she was a member of the New Rochelle Irish Benevolent Society, The New Rochelle Garden Club, The New Rochelle Women’s Club, The Professional Businesswoman’s Association, The New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club. Also while in New Rochelle, Mary was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Blessed Sacrament Parent Teacher Association. After retiring to Boca Raton, she was the head of the Social Committee in her community, a member of the Womens Club and the Garden Club of Boca Raton as well as a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her children Anna (Dan) Summa, Jerri (Eddie) Pfeil, Janet (Brian) Hepburn, Susan (Butch) Coleman, Deborah Trenholm and Scott Eberle (Sam Rogers); her 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and her sister Patricia Roberts.
She was predeceased by her daughter Dawn E. LaMorte and her granddaughter Jerri Ellen Trenholm as well as her brothers Thomas and Raymond Freeman and sisters Eileen O’Keefe and Frances Salvatore. A memorial service is scheduled for July 30 between 11-1pm.
