Mario Miranda, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on April 20, 2016. He was 94.
Mario was born on July 19, 1921 in Boco, Portugal to the late Manuel de Almeida and Guilhermina (de Jesus Pinho) Miranda.
Mario was a foreman for Anthony Grace & Sons Construction Company for over 45 years.
He is survived by his wife the former Maria J. Capao whom he married on January 6, 1966 ;his children Mario J. Capao Miranda and his wife Eliana Miranda, George Capao Miranda and his wife Angela Giardina Miranda, Michael Capao Miranda and his wife Caren Esposito Miranda; his grandchildren George, Isabella and Giana Maya Miranda; his brother Morais Miranda and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Manuel Miranda, Domingos Miranda, David Miranda, Armindo Miranda; his sisters Ilda Miranda da Silva, Lucilia Miranda Loureiro, Francelina Miranda de Oliveira and Aldina Miranda da Silva.

Visiting will be Thursday 4-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
