Veronica “Ronnie” Lyons Santolo, 70, of Bronx, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
On July 13, 1945, Ronnie was born to the late Margaret and John Lyons, Sr. On March 12, 2003, Ronnie married her longtime love and partner, the late Ralph Santolo.
In 1981, Ronnie began working for NY Telephone. After 20 years of dedicated service, Ronnie retired in December 2001.
A beautiful and kind soul, Ronnie loved life and enjoyed the company of friends and family. Ronnie enjoyed sunny days at the beach with the warmth of the sun on her skin, traveling, family events, dancing to Motown music and watching Washington Redskins games.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ronnie is predeceased by her brothers John M. Lyons, Jr., and Peter Lyons, Sr., as well as her sister-in-law, Rose Ann Lyons.
Survivors include her loving sister, Joan Regan and her husband, Joseph; sister-in-law, Karen Lyons; adoring nieces and nephews, Joseph Regan and his wife, Patti, Sue Regan-Nusbaum and her husband, Keith, Rick Regan and his wife, Lisa, Glenn Regan and his wife, Darlene, Peter Lyons, Jr., and his wife, Kathy, John Lyons and his wife, Shana, Sue Haight and her husband, Daryl, Kerrie Lyons-Glassman and Jason Lyons. She is also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Gate of Heaven Chapel, Hawthorne, NY, on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at 10am.
