Thomas G. Shea, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on December 24, 2015. He was 78.
Mr. Shea was born on February 6, 1937 in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx to the late William and Mary (Fitzmaurice) Shea.
He graduated from Iona Prep and the University of Notre Dame.
Most of his career was in Health Care Marketing and Advertising. He was a co-founder of Trunk, Shea, McCaffrey Advertising Agency serving Health Care Clients and was a member of the Health Care Marketing Council.
Mr. Shea was a member of the Wykagyl Country Club since 1967 where he served on its Board of Governors. He was also a member of the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle.
Mr. Shea was predeceased by his wife Ann Nixon Shea and his brothers William and Gerald Shea.
He is survived by his daughter Margot and her husband Russ Lunn and granddaughter Rowann; his sister Deborah; sisters-in-law Joan Shea and Sheila Nixon; many nieces and nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews and friends.
Visiting will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10am at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Tom Shea to the Gerald P. Shea Scholarship Fund at the University of Notre Dame or the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle.
