Rosa DeRosa our beloved mother and lifelong resident of New Rochelle died on December 7, 2015. She was 94.
Rosa was born on January 30, 1921 in Italy to the late Giuseppe and Rafaella (Bonazza) Zaffino. She worked for many years as a seamstress for the C & G Dress Factory in New Rochelle. She was a member of the ILGWU and a member of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Church, The Catholic Daughters of New Rochelle and the Senior Center at Feeney Park.
She was predeceased by her husband Louis who died on December 6, 1998. She is survived by her devoted and loving children: Joseph (Ann) DeRosa, Anthony (Patricia) DeRosa, Mary Ann (James) Hoffman and Carol (Peter) DeRosa Gregory; her beloved 10 grandchildren and her adored 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be Thursday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10AM at St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
