Jack Scarangella

Jack Scarangella, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died peacefully on August 9, 2015. He was 92. Jack was born on August 3, 1923 in the Bronx to the late Frank and Felice (Paccione) Scarangella. He worked as a District Manager for Social Security for over 44 years. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He volunteered his time serving on numerous community boards and organizations including the New Rochelle Office of the Aging and The Chamber of Commerce. He was active in the Democratic Party having run for office twice for the County Legislative Seat in New Rochelle and Pelham. He was an expert in Motivational and Leadership training and was the host of a weekly radio show called the Westchester Forum on WVOX, which turned into the stations longest running program. He also hosted a show for Cablevision. He was an avid rower, tennis player, swimmer who loved the outdoors and truly lived every day to the fullest.
He is survived by his loving wife Carole Horn whom he married on May 26, 1990 at the Huguenot Memorial Church; two children; three step-children and 7 grandchildren.
