Edward Spallone

Edward Spallone, 84, was called home by our Lord, with loving family by his side on March 29. He was born in New Rochelle to the late Armida and Salvatore Spallone. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Stanziale, his children, Edward (Diane) of Metuchen, NJ, Dori Anne Wynne (Kenneth) of New Canaan, CT and Mark ( Darlene) of Ridgefield, CT. Six Grandchildren, Melissa & Kenneth Wynne, Luke, Thomas, Lindsay & Christian Spallone. He was predeceased by his brothers, Oreste & Alfred. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Coral Sea. Edward was a member of the New Rochelle fire department for 38 years, and served as a LT. and head of his fire house for 20 years. Ed was a member of the American Legion Post 136 and the Scarsdale Elks where he enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Ed is most remembered for being a devoted husband and father. Our family would like to thank our physician, Dr. Robert Novich for his care & support during his illness.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, April 1st from 2-4 & 7-9 at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons
Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY. A Funeral Blessing is scheduled for Thursday April 2nd at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
