Margaret M. Herring, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on October 27, 2014. She was 94.
Margaret was born on June 17, 1920 in Philadelphia to the late Silas Clarke and Mary (Walsh) Herring. Margaret worked for many years in Public Relations for various government agencies and Politicians including President Eisenhower, Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, and Mayor John Lindsey. She coordinated the public relations for the opening of the 1964 Worlds Fair. She loved to travel and spend time with her family whom she adored.
She is survived her niece Elizabeth Kyle; nephews Philip Gaucher and Richard Herring; three great nephews: David and Ian Petrillo and Philip Gaucher, Jr. and her great-great niece Ava Madison Petrillo. She was predeceased by her sisters Lilyan Amy and Marion Gaucher and her brother Frederick Herring and her two nephews: Alfred V. Amy and Donald Herring.
Memorial visiting will be on Sunday from 11 am- 1pm with a service at 12 noon.
