George Martin Talt a life-long resident of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday afternoon surrounded by his family at the age of 87. Born on December 6, 1926 to the late Lawrence Talt and Marion (Keogh) Talt. Served in the US Navy during World War II as a “Sea Bee” stationed in Okinawa and was a talented carpenter of the Westchester Carpenter’s Union until retirement. Loving husband to the late Marjorie (Murphy) and father to: Martin, Stephen, Kevin, Michael, Brian, Marjorie Worley, George, Robert, Kristine Lemmis and Nancy LaPietra, 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
His passion for life other than his family was owning race horses and playing cards with family and his friends at the New Rochelle Elks Club.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, 9/9 from 7-9pm and Wendesday , 9/10 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is for Thursday at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church.
