Catherine M. Deen, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on September 28, 2014. She was 87.
Catherine was born on June 2, 1927 in Co. Kerry, Ireland to the late Timothy and Catherine (Finn) O’Callaghan. She worked for Barclays Bank in New Rochelle for over 20 years. She was very active in the New Rochelle Democratic Committee as a District Leader and volunteer for many campaigns. She was predeceased by her first husband John Dowd, her second husband Maurice Deen and her son John Dowd. She is survived by her three sons Thomas Dowd, Brian Deen and Richard Deen and her granddaughter Kaitlyn Deen.

Visiting hours will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Rochelle Humane Society.
