Joseph A. Colucci

Joseph A. Colucci, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on July 9, 2014. He was 82.
Mr. Colucci was born on October 27, 1932 in Ripabottoni, Italy to the late Domenic and Rachelina (Testa) Colucci. He came to the US on December 7, 1947 and he served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Master Carpenter who worked for DeRaffele Diners in New Rochelle for over 50 years and was a mentor to several generations of carpenters.
He is survived by his wife, the former Antonietta D’Addario whom he married on August 30, 1958; his children, Dominick (Mary)Colucci, Francis (Lisa) Colucci, Joseph (Anne) Colucci and Rachel (Rich) DeStasio; his 11 grandchildren: Dominick, Christopher, Austin, Adelina, Jessica, Joseph, Matthew, Joseph III, Christina, Michael and Emily; his brother Michael Colucci and his sister Josephine DiFabio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers-in laws and sisters-in law. He was a dedicated husband and father whose values and hard work and love have been passed on to his family. He will be missed tremendously.
Visiting will be Friday 4-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday 10:30am at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Christian Brothers Foundation.
