Catherine A. Burns, “Toots”, a current resident of Southampton and Jensen Beach, FL and a former resident of New Rochelle and The Bronx, died on June 16, 2014. She was 73.
Catherine was born on November 22, 1940 in NYC to the late Cornelius and Nora Riordan.
She is survived by her husband Thomas G. Burns, Jr. whom she married on August 26, 1961; her daughter Katie (Bill) Mitchell, her sons Thomas (Liz) Burns, Jack (Jeannie) Burns and Brendan (Amy) Burns; her 14 grandchildren: Ryan, Colleen, Kara, Daniel, Ryan, Amanda, Kelsey, Jack, Reilly, McKenna, Keegan, Bella, Ellie and Maren. She is also survived by her brother Daniel Riordan and her cousin Marie Weaver. She worked for many years at the State Farm Insurance Agency in New Rochelle.
Visiting will be Thursday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be Friday 10:30 am at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
