Anthony “Pigeon” Ariganello, a longtime New Rochelle resident died on June 23, 2014. He was 78.
Anthony was born on May 31, 1936 in New Rochelle to the elate Salvatore and Mary (Mamona) Ariganello. He was an Army Veteran and was the co-owner of The Fisherman’s Net in Pelham for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Larchmont Post who was an avid sportsman who loved to box and raise pigeons. He was predeceased by his wife the former Roberta Scott who died in 1991.
He is survived by his 5 siblings: Salvatore Ariganello, Joseph Ariganello, Dorothy Grosso, Cathy Ariganello, and Dolores Pappalardi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Thursday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be 9:30am on Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s children Hospital.
