Mary Wilkie, long-time resident of New Rochelle and Pelham Manor, died May 8, 2014, at Calvary Hospital. She was 95. She was born in Chicago to Thomas Galvin and Mary Herlihy. Beloved mother of John, Tom and Bob Wilkie. Cherished grandmother of Ravi Wilkie. Esteemed mother-in-law of Riana Wilkie. Dear sister of Ed Galvin. She was pre-deceased by her husband John and brothers John and Tommy-Joe. Her childhood years in Kerry, Ireland, shaped her amazing character. She was an excellent saleswoman at Macy’s/New Rochelle for 25 years. She was a wonderful Irish mother who loved to tell stories and an adventurous spirit who travelled often with her children to Ireland and Colorado. She is deeply missed.
