Aniello Pelella, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on May 7, 2014. He was 71.
Aniello was born on February 10, 1943 in Italy to the late Luigi and Civita (Buonomo) Pelella; grew up in Argentina and came to New Rochelle in 1961. He was a painting contractor for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on his boat. He spent much time in his garden tending to his tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife the former Adele Hutz whom he married on November 22, 1964; daughter Nina Pelella-Doyle (Gregg), his son Louis Pelella (Jessica); his three grandchildren Ashley Pelella, Louis Pelella, Jr. and Rachel Doyle; his sister Vincenza “Enza” Romano (Carmine) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Pelella.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday May 17, from 11am to 1pm where a prayer service will take place at noon.
